We are excited for the upcoming holiday season. This season is traditionally celebrated with holiday concerts. In planning our concerts this year, we have tried to keep our gatherings small. We kindly ask that families keep guests to a **maximum** of 4 attendees per household. All audience members are required to wear masks while in the building and throughout the performance. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. We will start our holiday celebrations with our 5-6 Band/Chorus concert on Thursday, December 9th at 6:00 pm in the SPC. This is a minor change from our school calendar posting as grade 4 will not participate in this event. On Thursday, December 16th grades 7-12 will conduct their Christmas concert at 7:00 pm in the SPC. After careful review, we have decided NOT to have a live performance for our K-4 students. At this time, we cannot safely host the number of families that would be eligible to attend this event. However, we still want to include our young elementary students in celebrating the joy of the season. Mr. Perry will be posting a virtual performance of our K-4 grade students for our families to enjoy. The Clymer faculty and staff have put forth great effort to provide as many traditional activities as possible during these challenging times. We truly appreciate the support and partnership with our families. Happy Holidays.

Hello Pirate Fans! We are so excited to have been given the green light to allow fans into the gym for our home basketball games this year and we are looking forward to seeing you at the girls varsity game tonight vs. Cassadaga Valley. The games will still be streamed on the school youtube channel but we also want to offer an in person experience that will benefit the student-athletes and fans alike. In order to do this, we need everyone's cooperation. We are asking that fans please sit in groups with their households and space out as much as possible. We are also being directed to ensure that everyone in the building will have a mask on at all times. It is understood that this may be an inconvenience but it is necessary to keep our games open. Thank you for helping us give our students the best season possible! Go Pirates!

Would you like to share the warmth of the Holliday season with others? You can do this by sending new mittens, gloves, hats, scarves or socks (all sizes) into school with your child! "Trees of Warmth" will be located throughout Clymer School, in addition to collection boxes at each grade level. These gifts will be shared with area children and adults. Your generosity and kindness will bless the giver and participate alike. If you would like to participate, simply send your gift(s) into school now until December 10th. Thank you for sharing in the true meaning of the season. Mrs. Goree, Mrs. France, Mrs. Whalen and Miss Chorney.

Students UPK-6 all shared on a leaf what they are thankful for. They really challenged themselves to think about things that you wouldn’t normally think about being thankful for every day!! Their beautiful leaves are displayed in the big windows by the SPC.

Staff of CCS were asked to share their "why" - why they chose this profession and why they love what they do. Members of the mental health club, "Heads Up", collected all the "whys" and displayed them for staff to remember and for students to also see.

Opening Night of the Senior Play is TONIGHT!!! We are so thrilled to be able to open this to our families and community. All patrons attending the show must wear a mask while in the building and during the performance. Seating has been set up in pods to allow families to sit together, but maintain social distancing from other pods. We need your cooperation with following our protocols to allow us to keep our building healthy and our students participating in clubs and athletics.

Good Afternoon. This week the Clymer Central School had 3 active cases of COVID-19. Each case was investigated and contact tracing was conducted to identify all close contacts. Due to our protocols and social distancing, the number of close contacts identified has been minimal. As we enter into the holiday season, Clymer School will continue to enforce our protocols to minimize the number of students quarantined due to close contact. We continue to ask that if your child shows signs of illness, please keep them home. If you want your symptomatic student tested, please call the health office for assistance. We will continue to focus our efforts on maintaining a healthy environment so our kids can be in school.

Students in third grade had a visitor today! An educator from the Audubon Nature Center gave a presentation about predators and prey and the characteristics that animals have in each category. The students especially liked pretending they were certain animals trying to survive in their environment. They were praying mantises, grasshoppers, rabbits, owls, fireflies, and more. Every student thoroughly enjoyed the lesson and learned a lot.
