Good Afternoon. Tomorrow, June 11th we will host our 2nd vaccine clinic in collaboration with the Chautauqua County Health Department. All those who received their first dose three weeks ago have been automatically registered to get their second dose on Friday. The first consent covers both doses in the series, no paperwork is needed. Anyone who is still looking for a first dose can register using the link below and attend on Friday to receive their first dose. Those individuals will be responsible for checking the Chautauqua County Health Department website for second dose clinics, contacting local pharmacies, or the Chautauqua Center to find their second dose. This clinic for anyone 12 years of age or older. If a student under the age of 18 is being registered, parent consent and health screening forms must also be completed. These forms can be found on the splash page of our website. https://apps2.health.ny.gov/doh2/applinks/cdmspr/2/counties?DateID=C44632E4FEDF03B6E0530A6C7C159209

Attention Clymer Central School High school families! We were so pleased with the success and interest shown by the students during Career Week and the positive feedback from our participants that we've decided to keep the momentum going! This July we will be providing on site career exploration opportunities to students entering into 9th grade next year through this year's graduating Seniors. We hope by providing in person visits that cover diverse interests that we are better preparing your child for future success after high school. At this time Clymer School has set up approximately 24 potential visits. They include: Clymer Highway Department, Clymer Post Office, a local Farm, Countertop Solutions, a presentation at the school with a coroner and Ahlstrom Schaeffer Electric, visits to Alpacaville, Lenhart Hotel, Weber Knapp Engineering, Jamestown Fire Station with a Medic presentation, CPL Engineering and Architecture, St. Susan's Soup Kitchen, G.L. Olson Construction, Corry Metal Products, Corry Manufacturing, Corry Fabrications, Corry Forge, an outdoor kayak experience and presentation with Evergreen Outfitters, Chautauqua Conservancy, Fancher Chair Furniture Manufacturing, Cummins, a visit to a pharmacy to speak with a pharmacist, and Zurn Manufacturing. We hope to be adding a few more to this list in the next week or so. All students in high school have received an online sign-up sheet and it is our hope that they will be encouraged to take advantage of these opportunities and sign-up. Transportation, breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Clymer faculty cares about all the students at our school, and think it's important to integrate Elementary-High School into as many educational opportunities as possible. Posted are students of all ages coming to speak to a local pharmacist and business owner, a Navy Rep. and our very own Jarrett Wiggers talking to students about one of the many career opportunities within the business/financial degree field.

Trent Burchanowski, Austin White and Dylan Michael from Mr. Slava's Residential Construction class designed and built the podium, and Marissa Snyder from Ms. Burk's Art class added the decorative painting to the podium to be used at Kindergarten graduation later this week."

Mrs. King’s and Mrs. Campbell's third grade classes traveled back in time to the Little Red Schoolhouse. They had a great time learning about what school was like back in the late 1800’s to early 1900’s!--

This weekend there has been much confusion in the media regarding students continuing to wear masks while in school. We have been advised by the State Education Department that there is currently no change in this policy, as NYS is waiting for updated guidance from the CDC. We will continue the protocols we have practiced all year, giving students frequent mask breaks throughout the day. We will modify our practices as additional guidance is released and we will continue to strive to create the least restrictive environment as possible. Your continued support as we close out a successful year is appreciated.
