2021 Section VI Class D Champions! Congratulations to the Clymer/Sherman softball team in claiming the 2021 Section VI Class D softball title. This was the inaugural year for the merged softball program. The team earned a #3 seed for the playoffs and first round home game vs West Valley in which they earned a 12-2 victory on Monday. On Tuesday, the team went to North Collins, the #2 seed and defeated the Eagles by a score of 18-5. The finals were now set for a showdown versus #1 Panama in a game to be played at Panama. The Panthers had swept the season series against CS but the girls showed up ready for the challenge and defeated the Panthers by a score of 7-6. Congratulations to all the athletes and coaches.

We close out the year with a record breaking performance from Madison Damcott. Madison is the new Clymer elementary record holder for longest amount of time jump roping. Madison was able to jump rope for 46 minutes and 11 seconds. Inspired by some sibling rivalry, Madison closes out her year as the new record holder. Awesome job, #piratepride

On Thursday, June 17th, Kindergarten took their trip around Clymer. They stopped at Community Bank (to turn in their change), the library (where Darlene Redlecki read them a few books and discussed the literacy program) and Necker’s Company (to enjoy some yummy ice cream) all while hiding their painted rocks around town!

The 5th and 6th grade marathoners finished their final mile at the track on Thursday afternoon. Many of the 26 finishers had personal best finishes and the rally around the final finisher, just shows how remarkable our kids are! Many thanks to all who helped with this event and especially to the Corry American Legion for their donation that covered the cost of the t-shirts, awards and delicious cookies! In what has been an unusual year, this will be one of the moments that stands out for me.

Recently Julia Heiser has had her 4th grade class making a difference on campus. The 4th grade class has cleaned, scrubbed, and organized the outdoor classroom to make it a place that all students can be proud of. The 4th grade has hung dragons, butterflies, and bees for younger students to participate in crafts and games when working outside. Thank you 4th grade for your hard work, and #piratepride.
