Dr. Lund will be at Clymer Central School between 11:00am - 1:00pm on August 19th to perform athletic physicals in the Nurse's office. This will be the only day he is available so students that aren't able to make it will need to see their own doctor or another provider.
On 8/10/2021 Officer Chad Wright from the Chautauqua County Sherrif department visited students enrolled in the Summer Literacy Program. Officer Wright is a member of the K-9 unit, SWAT team, and Diving team. Officer Wright brought in K-9 Links for the visit. Links is named in memory of Officer Kevin Links. Students were given a presentation where Links followed commands, searched an area for a missing item, had play time and the opportunity to ask questions. Clymer Central School District wants to thank all Law Enforcement for keeping our communities safe.

August is here and the first day of school is right around the corner. The Clymer administration along with other county officials are evaluating what restrictions need to be in place for a safe reopening. We are fortunate that we have an effective in-person model that we can modify to meet the current guidelines. Right now, we are planning around a model similar to how we ended the school year. As we have already experienced, restrictions can change three times within a week. The Clymer leadership team are currently preparing the building for all our students to return on September 7th. We are closely watching health trends in our community and we will adapt our reopening guidelines to provide the least restrictive, but safe learning environment for our students and staff. We will be communicating regularly in these coming weeks as details develop. Please be patient with us as we prepare for a safe return.
Prevention works has been coming into Summer Literacy Camp and providing lessons on social emotional support for all enrolled students. Students are receiving guidance and lessons on being their best selves, supporting others, kindness and how to be a great friend. Every day at Summer Literacy Camp, students display #piratepride.

Recently, Clymer Elementary was able to host a kindergarten graduation. This represented the first event on campus that included the community in over 18 months. Thank you to all the staff and parents that worked so hard to make this event a success. As we get ready for tonight's celebration honoring the class of 2021, we can also watch the class of 2033 begin their journey.

2021 Section VI Class D Champions!
Congratulations to the Clymer/Sherman softball team in claiming the 2021 Section VI Class D softball title. This was the inaugural year for the merged softball program. The team earned a #3 seed for the playoffs and first round home game vs West Valley in which they earned a 12-2 victory on Monday. On Tuesday, the team went to North Collins, the #2 seed and defeated the Eagles by a score of 18-5. The finals were now set for a showdown versus #1 Panama in a game to be played at Panama. The Panthers had swept the season series against CS but the girls showed up ready for the challenge and defeated the Panthers by a score of 7-6. Congratulations to all the athletes and coaches.
We close out the year with a record breaking performance from Madison Damcott. Madison is the new Clymer elementary record holder for longest amount of time jump roping. Madison was able to jump rope for 46 minutes and 11 seconds. Inspired by some sibling rivalry, Madison closes out her year as the new record holder. Awesome job, #piratepride
