  CCS Pirate Pride Students of the Quarter

The Clymer Central School District is pleased to announce the “Pirate Pride” Students of the Quarter.  During each marking period faculty members nominate students in Grades K-3, 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12, they feel are demonstrating leadership, academic improvement/excellence and service to school or community.  “Pirate Pride”, the Character Education Committee at CCS reviews the nominations and selects one student from each of the four grade level divisions.

The K-3 Student of the Quarter is 2nd grader Olivia White.  She is the daughter of Kevin and Debbie White.  Olivia likes to Klompen Dance at the Clymer Tulip Festival.  She also attends the Summer Recreation program and Panda Girls.  Olivia enjoys Karate and learning Chinese Mandarin language.  Olivia likes to spend time outside as she enjoys riding her bike and scooter, swimming and hiking.  Her favorite type of music is country.  Even though Olivia is only in 2nd grade she would like to be a Chinese Language teacher when she grows up.

Emma Dennis, 5th grader, is the daughter of Steven Dennis and Martha Hawkins.  In school Emma is involved with the band and the Enrichment Class.  Emma attends the Clymer United Methodist Church.  She also enjoys Klompen Dancing in the Tulip Festival parade and is a member of the Girl Scouts.   Emma is on the CCS Honor Roll.  Her hobbies and accomplishments are playing the piano, flute, reading, playing soccer, baseball and enjoys skiing.  She looks forward to college, having a family and traveling to the Netherlands.

Connor Payne, 9th grader, is the son of John and Jody Payne.  Connor plays basketball and football for Clymer Central School where he received a JV letter for both sports.  Connor has been on the Honor Roll and Merit Roll.  He is involved in the Community Plays.  Connor enjoys playing bass and riding four wheelers.  He is planning on going to college to repair and build engines.

The 10-12 Student of the Quarter is 11th grader Cady Schwab.  Cady is the daughter of Dave and Dorey Schwab.  Cady is very active in school as she is a member of the NHS, FCCLA, SADD, Environmental Club, AFS, FFA, Class President for 5 years, track and field and the school play.  Cady is presently the NYS FFA District #10 President.  She is also on the Honor Roll.  Her hobbies include working on the family dairy farm, friends and family, playing with her ducks and chickens, loving life, reading and learning.  Cady plans to attend college in New York, hopefully majoring in Agriculture, but she is keeping her options open.
